The Garden House Nursery Schools

eyworks

We use a specialised early years software to report our daily records and showcase your children’s learning journals. The technology enables us to take videos and photos of what your child has been up to, as well as let you know about food, sleep and nappy changes. Not only does it save paper,  it also helps free up the team at handover to talk more about the child’s day and less about their care routines.  You will be able to easily view all your child’s information on the EyParent App.

Handovers

As part of our daily communication with parents, we provide a personalised daily handover in your child’s room upon collection. To supplement this, we provide a daily written log of what each room has been up to on our parent board.

To further keep parents updated, every week we send out an email with what each room has been doing, what they are doing in the upcoming week and any other news.

Parent Forum

Every three months we hold a parent forum with our volunteer Parent Representatives. This is an opportunity to liaise closely with parents to help deliver information and discuss feedback for our teams.

In addition, we have bi yearly scheduled parent meetings providing an opportunity for parents to speak with their Key Worker without disruptions. We also offer google meets to any parent who feels an extra catch-up would be beneficial.

Stays and plays

Stay & Plays

Through out the year we offer stay and plays in line with our curriculum topics. These are a great opportunity for parents to get involved, role model to the children and observe how their own child interacts at nursery.

Newsletters

We like to keep parents as up to date with events as possible, as well as provide some photos of what we’ve been up to as a nursery each term. Newsletters are a great tool for sharing news, celebrating team and nursery achievements and letting parents know what’s coming up next. Each branch sends out their own newsletter as dates will vary.
